TENCEL™
Shop TENCEL™We use TENCEL™ to create our shirts. TENCEL™ is a bio-based fabric made from wood pulp. It is produced in an environmentally friendly process, and is fully biodegradable. You can learn more about TENCEL™ here.

Buttons and Trims
Our sustainable material sourcing efforts doesn't stop at fabrics. All of our threads are made from either Tencel or organic cotton. We also use recycled wooden buttons in order to avoid plastics and reduce our waste impact.
-
Plastic Fabric
We stand against the use of petroleum-based plastic fabrics such as Nylon, Polyester, and Acrylic. These generate large amounts of greenhouse gases and take hundreds of years to biodegrade. By avoiding fossil fuel-derived fabric, we are taking an active step to keep our carbon emissions low and reduce our waste impact.

Our Approach
At Modsus, we strive towards circularity by building clothes that are high quality, timeless, versatile, and long-lasting. We are all about slow, durable, and versatile fashion - and we hope you are too.
-
Durability
Modsus pieces are built to last. Our tops are made with 150 GSM Tencel fabric, which is a thicker, yet breathable fabric that ensures that the pieces will last longer through wear and tear. Our bottoms are made from an extra durable, high performance 300 GSM cotton fabric. We also reinforce high-movement areas of the garment with gussets, to prevent pilling and tears.
-
Versatility
We design our pieces to serve multiple purposes. Our intention is that you will need to buy less clothing by owning a Modsus piece. By designing our clothing with neutral colours and fits, they can be styled in numerous ways.
Packaging
One Tree Planted
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. Forests are essential in fighting climate change, as they store mass amounts of carbon.
This is why we chose to partner with One Tree Planted. They are dedicated to global reforestation and have planted over 40 million trees across 47 countries since 2014.
Diversity and Inclusion
Modsus was designed with inclusivity in mind. All of our pieces are consciously designed to be gender-neural. Our clothes are designed to be worn by anybody, anywhere.
We are also working on becoming a size-inclusive brand. Due to manufacturing limitations, our sizes currently range from unisex small to extra-large, but run large to fit a variety of bodies.
Workplace Standards
At Modsus, it is of the utmost importance that our products are manufactured in an ethical manner. Our supplier ensures that workers are paid atleast minimum wage and work in sanitary environments - all of this is verified by third-party audits which are conducted at each manufacturing facility.
